Nottingham, UK – Offbeat stand-up comedian and Nottingham area resident Rob Deb has been recognized for his unique brand of humour, by being turned into a super hero.
The transformation from unique stand-up comedian to post-apocalyptic hero was created by HEROized, a super-hero themed business branding service.
Deb is well known in the UK as a comedian with a unique routine. Deb’s material focuses on “geek” culture, as described on his Facebook page: “The U.K.’s leading Geek Comedian Compere and Multi-versal award winner.”
Just like the comedian, Deb’s heroic character is also offbeat. Deb’s new alter-ego is a character named Patient 0.5, who carries a zombie virus that infects those around him, but with no effects to himself. According to the character bio, it is laughter that Patient 0.5 uses to disinfect those that have been infected.
“We knew we had to do something different than the usual heroic persona.” said HEROized producer Mike Gagnon. “The off-kilter concept fits with Rob’s real life personality and comedy routine perfectly, which is what we strive for when HEROizing clients.”
The branding company claims that superhero themed branding is the perfect way to promote people and businesses. The service is based on the concept that the idea of the super hero has become so ingrained in the collective consciousness, that it instantly creates a memorable and subconsciously positive impression.
“The team was smart sharp and able to pick up on what worked best with the rband… a lot more imaginative and tuned in then I thought they would be.” said Deb. “These people know their capes.”
